Through gentle, targeted adjustments, we work to restore alignment in the spine and reduce any strain on the nervous system. By correcting misalignments, our patients experience fewer, less intense episodes of back pain.
What causes back pain?
If back pain has come on because of an accident or a trauma, then the effects of it will be felt almost immediately. If you are active or play sport, you may experience lots of knocks and falls and this can over time, contribute to misalignments in the spine and cause back pain.
If you have not experienced a specific trauma, it can often be hard to pinpoint the exact cause of back pain. But quite often, back pain is due to repetitive motions as opposed to an isolated issue. A few examples of this are:
• Sitting at a desk for long periods of time
• Bad posture
• Gardening
Back pain can also be caused by a prolapsed or bulging disc. This puts pressure on one or more nerves, or on the spinal cord, which can cause severe back pain.

How long will it take to notice changes?

“It's like I never had any issue”
I started with TopChiro at the end of November 2024. The main reason was because of pain in the left side of my neck from sleeping sitting up during long haul travelling, but I’ve also had sciatica as a second issue. Was recommended Topchiro whilst talking with a friend about my back issues. I was sceptical but as I was in pain I just knew I had to do something .
Booking was easy and I got to see Kellie at my first trial session and she completely put me at ease. We agreed a plan together and embarked on what was for me a totally new experience.
No wild claims were made but I could feel for myself how things were improving. The manipulation, exercises and periodic reviews with X Rays gave me added confidence.
Because I was relocating from the area my plan had to be truncated to fit into my schedule. This was done cheerfully by the reception staff and I got all the necessary sessions completed.
